EURAS Academy for Superior Group-Pakistan was successfully held

Having close and tight relations with Superior Group, a member of EURAS, we organized EURAS Academy - a training program for Superior Group representatives. Bearing the title of “Internationalization: Towards New Horizons”, the event was hosted by Istanbul Aydin University, which is also our founding member. Hosting and caring a very crowded delegate of 110 members along with Superior Group Chairman Prof. Dr. Ch. Abdul Rehman, EURAS Academy for Superior Group was successfully held and created a great mutual experience. EURIE Training for Turkish Universities

EURAS is proud to announce another ‘EURIE Training’ event! Post successfully held EURAS Academy in Iran and high demands on EURIE Training in Romania (details above), EURAS is organizing a new event for Turkish Universities. EURIE Training for Turkish Universities on 7th of November will be hosted at Istanbul Aydin University. Underlining the importance and vitality of internationalization for universities, EURIE Training is expecting any Turkish university that hopes to participate. EURAS Supports “The Third Turkish Arab Conference on Higher Education – TACHE 2018”

The Third Turkish Arab Conference on Higher Education – TACHE 2018” in Istanbul during 13-15 February 2018 will be held in joint partnership between Istanbul Aydin University and the Association of Arab Universities. These dates were specifically chosen to coincide with EURIE 2018: Eurasia Higher Education Summit, which will be held by the Eurasian Universities Union, in Istanbul, on the 14th-16th February 2018. We are pleased to invite all Turkish Higher Education Institutions to participate in “The Third Turkish Arab Conference on Higher Education” which aims at facilitating and strengthening cooperation between Turkish and Arab Universities in various fields and all participant Institutions to network and collaborate with the best Universities in the Arap world.

President of Bu-Ali Sina University of Iran, has been appointed as Minister of Science, Research and Technology

Dr. Mansoor Gholami, The President of Bu-Ali Sina University which is a member of EURAS has been introduced to the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran by country’s president, Dr. Hassan Rouhani. Dr. Rouhani succeeded in receiving maximum favor votes from the Parliament and become Iran’s Minister of Science, Research and Technology on 29 October 2017. President Rouhani defends his proposed ministers by stating, “The government will not be short of respect for the freedom of thought and expression in its respect for science and the university, students, and academicians.” … read more

PAWER Project Training at Middlesex University in London with participation of Khazar University

On October 28 – November 3, 2017 the PAWER project was held at EURAS member Middlesex University in London. PAWER refers to Paving the Way to Interregional Mobility and Ensuring Relevance, Quality and Equity of Access where it was aimed to review the crucial issues related to mobility of students and staff covering Bologna process, ECTS and all that. Application for Türkiye Scholarship 2018 is open

Apart from providing education opportunities at an international caliber as well as a wealth of knowledge and experience, Turkey also offers scholarships to outstanding international students from all over the world to study in the most prestigious universities in Turkey.
Applications for 2018 Türkiye Scholarships will be open between 1 and 30 November, 2017 for citizens of the following countries: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Botswana, Brazil, South Africa, South Korea, Kenya, Colombia, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, Rwanda, Singapore, Chile, Thailand, Uganda, Uruguay, New Zealand, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Applications will be open to applicants who wish to study at bachelors, masters and doctoral levels. The application dates for other countries will be announced at a later date. Egypt seeks to attract international branch campuses

The Egyptian government has proposed a new law that would make it easier for foreign universities to establish international branch campuses in the country. Egypt’s minister of higher education and scientific research, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, states that the government is looking to introduce a “new law for international branch campuses intending to operate in the education destination” and called for UK universities to “invest in the Egyptian market of education”… read more

Turkey – Africa Education Ministers’ Conference

The opening ceremony of the conference carried with the attendance of National Education Minister of Turkey, Mr. Ismet Yilmaz, President of Turkish Higher Education Council, Prof. Dr. Yekta Saraç, presidents of various institutions and Ministers of Education of the 22 African countries. As top ten African countries that have been sending international student, the amount of students were 5600 in 2014-2015 academic year whereas this number has raised by %62 in 2016-2017 academic year resulting in a glorious 9054 students. Prof. Dr. Yekta Saraç stated that this conference was a great means to improve educative fields, develop new ways and strengthen the already available cooperation between Turkey and Africa. This will also form new relations as to share and spread the word of Turkish Education System.

France’s most iconic university, University of Paris - the “Sorbonne” is reborn

Almost 50 years after it was dismantled, the celebrated institution is coming back. That continuing hold on the popular imagination is somewhat remarkable given that the Sorbonne ceased to exist officially as a university in 1970 and divided into separate universities. Bu-Ali Sina University established based on a treaty between the governments of Iran and France in February 1973. The first steps for founding Bu-Ali Sina University were taken after the institution was named after a great Muslim scientist, Bu-Ali Sina.

Bu-Ali Sina University is a well-respected and one of the most prestigious universities of Iran, with more than 440 academic staff is lecturing about 14000 students. At the time, Bu-Ali Sina University has 13 faculties, one higher education complex, and two junior schools. Faculties including Faculty of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Arts and Architecture, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Primary Medicine, Faculty of Physical Education, Tuiskerkan Faculty of Engineering, Kaboodarahg School of Engineering, Razan Management and Accounting Faculty And Bahar School of Food Engineering.
